Are you also experiencing this problem where the sms notification number doesn’t go away, even though you do not have any unread messages left?
I had this on the Samsung Galaxy S3, and solved it this way:
- Go to Settings
- Go to application manager
- Go to the All tab
- Search for BadgeProvider
- Choose Clear data
- Restart your phone
It should be fixed!
